Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili believes that the Russian leadership’s decision to lift the visa regime for Georgian citizens and resume air communication between the two countries is unacceptable today.
“The resumption of direct air communication with Georgia and the lifting of the visa regime for Georgian citizens is unacceptable while Russia continues its aggression against Ukraine and occupation of our territories,” Zourabichvili wrote on social media on Wednesday.
So far, representatives of the Georgian government have not commented on Russia’s decision on the visa regime and air communication with Georgia.
As reported, on Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree lifting the ban on air transportation from Russia to the territory of Georgia.
