How to make sure that you don’t take the beach home with you

Staying clean and safe at the beach

The easiest way to keep your beachwear clean is to avoid getting them dirty in the first place! We recommend keeping these simple steps in mind to protect your beach gear:

  1. Wear clothes that you won’t mind getting wet – sand and dirt will stick to you once you’re in the water.

  2. Always take off your shoes before entering the sea.

  3. Don’t forget to take spare clothes with you just in case.

  4. Grab a towel to rest on and a second towel to dry off.

  5. Wash and dry your feet thoroughly before putting on your shoes again.

How do you prevent sand from entering your home?

It can be a complete nightmare when sand enters your house. It can get into your carpet and clump together in your shower. Our tips will show you how to keep sand out where it belongs.

  1. Wash your feet before getting into your car / public transport.

  2. Get a separate bag to store beach clothes after use. Do not mix them with your general laundry.

  3. Shake your shoes outside and be sure to remove any sand.

  4. Pets can be very good at carrying sand! Wash them before you take them in, and you’ll both be grateful later.

  5. Did you have a picnic? Clean cutlery and utensils separately from your other laundry.

How to remove beach stains
