Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg to Have New Boarding Halls

Pulkovo airport in St. Petersburg begins the second stage of integrated development (the first one was completed in 2013 with the construction of a new passenger terminal). In particular, the project will create new boarding galleries with boarding bridges and comfortable zones for passengers. The design of a new boarding hall for domestic airlines and related infrastructure is expected to begin in the near future.

To expand the possibility of receiving flights, the reconstruction of aprons will be carried out, specialized de-icing treatment sites will be created.

On Wednesday, February 8, it became known that the Government of St. Petersburg, together with the Northern Capital Gateway management company and Pulkovo Airport JSC, signed an agreement according to which a new airfield and air terminal infrastructure will be created. The agreement will be valid until 2060.

According to St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov, the project will be financed entirely by private investment, which will be attracted by shareholders, including the city’s strategic partner, VTB Group.

Levashovo airport in St. Petersburg was officially opened on December 27, 2022.
