Wizz Air is suspending plans to resume flights from Moscow to Abu Dhabi (UAE) amid critics’ calls for a boycott of the company, Reuters reported.
At the same time, in its statement about the postponement of flights, the company did not mention the negative reaction on social networks, but reported on “restrictions in the supply chain of the industry.”
The airline also said that the flight would be operated by its Abu Dhabi-based company, which is a registered carrier in the UAE and operates in accordance with the rules of the Persian Gulf country.
This month, Wizz Air said flights between Abu Dhabi and Moscow would resume in October. On Feb. 27, it suspended all fights with Russia after the invasion of Ukraine.
