Today, SAS Executive Vice President and CCO, Karl Sandlund announced that he will leave SAS for a new position outside the company.
“Karl has been at SAS since 2004 and it is with regret, I see him leave. He has been a key player in many different areas of the company for the past 18 years. Both from a personal and professional level I’m grateful for how Karl introduced me to SAS when I joined last year. I am sure that his drive and passion for society is something his new company will value as well. I wish him all the best in his future endeavors”, says Anko van der Werff, President & CEO of SAS.

SAS will now start the recruitment process of his successor. Karl will leave the company at the latest at the beginning of October.
SAS appoints Erno Hildén as new CFO. Erno Hildén, comes from Finland and has held several operational leadership positions in the global airline industry. He has worked both as chief financial officer and chief operating officer for Finnair and recently he also held a position as executive vice president for privatization at Saudia Airlines.
