Hotel Indigo to Debut in Egypt

IHG Hotels & Resorts is expanding its presence in Egypt with four new Hotel Indigo branded properties. IHG will introduce Hotel Indigo to Egypt with Hotel Indigo Mountain View North Coast, Hotel Indigo Mountain View icity New Cairo, Hotel Indigo Mountain View icity 6th of October City and Hotel Indigo Mountain View Ain El Sokhna.

The four new hotels will reflect the unique ethos of Hotel Indigo – to serve the curious – by creating an immersive hospitality experience that draws on the history, rhythm and pulse of each of the four distinct neighbourhoods, providing diverse vantage points to view the country and its culture. All new built properties will cater to a broad range of travelers as leisure and business tourism rapidly rebounds across the country.

Set in one of Egypt’s most exclusive cities, the Hotel Indigo Mountain View North Coast, will offer views of the Mediterranean Sea as well as high-end retail and dining once doors open in July 2024. The hotel will feature 100 design-led rooms, a spa, health club, pool and 165 sqm of meetings and events space.

A quintessential city hotel, the 200-key Hotel Indigo Mountain View icity New Cairo will cater to a business clientele with its location in the Fifth Settlement. In proximity to the American University and overlooking a 15 km corniche, the hotel will offer a haven for business travelers to dine, relax and take in one of Cairo’s most dynamic enclaves on opening in January 2026.

Hotel Indigo Mountain View icity 6th of October City, set to open in January 2028, will be an urban escape in the Giza Governorate, 32 km outside the city of Cairo. Located within a major residential and business district, the hotel will offer 200 immaculately designed rooms as well as an array of locally inspired experiences through its F&B, retail and entertainment options.

A short drive from the buzz of Cairo, Hotel Indigo Mountain View Ain El Sokhna, offers the best of both worlds with its setting amidst mountains and sandy beaches. A haven for trekking, fishing, diving and skating, the new property will offer hotel guests a tranquil atmosphere in addition to 150 rooms, meetings and events space and F&B options, starting January 2028.

Established in 2004, Hotel Indigo now has a presence in more than 20 countries with over 120 hotels, and over 100 hotels in the pipeline. Across India, Middle East and Africa, IHG opened Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown – its first Hotel Indigo in the region last year, and has a growing pipeline for the brand including properties in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Oman.
