Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti Private Photo Safaris with Paul Joynson-Hicks MBE

After months of having to stay separated from cherished people and places, Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti is offering friends and family the chance to reconnect through the launch of Connected Souls private photo safaris, led by acclaimed wildlife photographer Paul Joynson-Hicks.

In the naturally distanced beauty of the Serengeti National Park, there could be no better place to enjoy time together – be it a family celebration, a reunion of friends or a retreat for budding photographers. Through daily guided photo safaris, content review classes, and expert tutorials and talks in the comfort of the Lodge’s Discovery Centre, the Connected Souls private photo safaris will be fully customised to every booking and available for groups of two to six guests travelling together.

Originating from the UK, award-winning professional wildlife photographer Paul Joynson-Hicks has lived and worked in East Africa for more than 20 years, which has led to a passionate understanding and appreciation for conservation and wildlife. To date, Joynson-Hicks has published four wildlife photography books, founded the acclaimed Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards and was also awarded an MBE by Prince Charles thanks to his ongoing work with various social enterprises in Tanzania.

Commenting on the new photo safaris, Paul Joynson-Hicks says: “The Serengeti is such an extraordinary place for wildlife photography, as it offers unparalleled wildlife and landscape diversity, which gives amateur and professional photographers alike unbelievable photographic possibilities.”

Each Connected Souls private photo safari will require a minimum four night stay at the Lodge and will offer a customised daily itinerary to include all of the below activities with Paul Joynson-Hicks:

Three half-day photo safaris: Led by an expert Four Seasons driver guide, guests will have every opportunity to witness the very best wildlife sightings in Serengeti through half-day game drives that explore the Park’s Central Seronera region; famous for its all year round big cat sightings, with Joynson-Hicks on hand to guide on how to capture the best photos.
Three content review sessions: With an abundance of photos captured on safari, Joynson-Hicks will guide guests on the review of their images, highlighting best practices, editing opportunities and practical techniques for future photography.
Three expert talks or tutorials: Whether guests are seeking insights on a particular aspect of wildlife photography or wish to hear more about the variety of wildlife witnessed and photographed by Joynson-Hicks, expert talks and tutorials may be customised per guest interest.

In addition to the above activities, guests will also receive a minimum of 10 professional wildlife photos taken by Joynson-Hicks during their Serengeti safaris.

Justin Stevens, General Manager at Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti says: “In such a beautiful environment as the Serengeti, everyone wants to capture their time here, no matter their level of photography. Our new Connected Souls safaris are a perfect opportunity for budding amateur photographers and wildlife enthusiasts alike to gain access to Paul’s extensive knowledge and expertise through an experience that really connects you to the present moment.
