Aerolineas Argentinas signed a collaboration and cooperation agreement with the Argentine LGBT Chamber of Commerce (CCGLAR)
On the occasion of LGBT pride month, the president of Airlines, Pablo Ceriani together with Javier Faroni, Director of Tourism and Cultural Promotion and Luciana Merelle D´Herve, Coordinator of Gender and Diversity, signed a framework agreement with the LGBT Chamber of Commerce of Argentina. The objective of the agreement is to continue positioning, both locally and abroad, Argentina’s tourist attractions as destinations that welcome LGBT + travelers.
Likewise, the agreement plans to carry out awareness-raising, training, and visibility actions involving company employees, CCGLAR, and representatives of the Ministry of Women, Gender, and Diversity.
It is worth mentioning that in March, the company created the Gender and Diversity Coordination area with the aim of promoting an organizational culture based on respect for diversity, inclusion and equality. In addition, the company modified the uniforms so that female staff working in customer service areas can optionally wear skirts or pants as well as shoes without heels.
“It is a joy to continue working together, since it is very important from a cultural and political point of view. This will help us to have a better company, to be a better society and also to generate activities that are profitable for the development of the country’s regional economies, ”said Pablo Ceriani.
For his part, Pablo De Luca, President of CCGLAR highlighted: “In this very special month, we are proud of all this and of promoting Argentina around the world, as a welcoming destination, where each person can be who want to be and love who wants to love. I am pleased that today we are signing this agreement to work together. ”
In this way, Aerolineas Argentinas as the flag carrier assumes a new commitment to promote and transmit values such as gender equality and identity to both its staff and passengers.
