A-ROSA River Cruises Resumes Voyages Across All Rivers

After a successful restart of its Douro sailings in Portugal, A-ROSA River Cruises recommenced its cruises on the Rhine river on 17 June 2020 and on the Danube on 20 June 2020. The resumption of A-ROSA’s French operation is planned for 11 July 2020.

“We are delighted to be cruising again on Europe’s most beautiful rivers. Naturally, we eagerly awaited feedback from the first guests that we welcomed on board. We are thrilled that it was very positive. It paid off to thoroughly plan and meticulously implement our new hygiene and health concept, providing a safe environment for our guests, yet making sure that they have a wonderful time. The quality of our offering even improved in some areas,” reports Jörg Eichler, CEO A-ROSA River Cruises.

Depending on the ship, guest capacity is being reduced for the first departures. On board, guests can enjoy multi course meals and enhanced service. Comfortable seating arrangements, aligned to guarantee social distancing, further add to the relaxing holiday experience. Pools and fitness rooms are also available, subject to hygiene protocols, and SPA-ROSA continues to offer guests massages and beauty treatments. Bike and bus excursions as well as walking tours take place as normal, but with reduced group sizes.

Holidays in Europe: City trips by ship

A-ROSA’s premium voyages are an award-winning multi-generational holiday concept and great alternative to traditional city trips. Effective immediately, A-ROSA sails again on Danube, Rhine and Douro and in France with effect from 11 July 2020. The itineraries follow the schedules published in A-ROSA’s brochure, but are subject to adjustments, if imposed by local authorities. The seven-night “Danube Classics” is a real highlight. It combines breathtakingly beautiful scenery with rich history and calls on three European capital cities – Vienna, Budapest and Bratislava. On the Rhine, vibrant Northern metropolises such as Amsterdam and Rotterdam may be visited, in addition to the idyllic Moselle valley with its lush terraced vineyards, quaint villages and ancient castles. Commencing and ending in picturesque Porto, A-ROSA’s seven-night Douro cruises sail through the magnificent Douro valley, surrounded by endless rows of terraced grape vines, up to the Spanish border.
