The oohh! FreizeitWelten event, which combines six individual trade fairs for exciting out-of-home leisure activities all under one roof, will be postponed. The new dates are 24 to 28 March 2021. The reason is the coronavirus pandemic and its global consequences for major events, which have resulted in various postponements at the Hamburg exhibition complex.
“The highly dynamic development of the COVID-19 situation and its global consequences for major events have prompted another change to the event calendar of Hamburg Messe und Congress. The postponement of the leading international maritime trade fair SMM to next February forces us to also reschedule the oohh! FreizeitWelten event since both trade fairs occupy the entire exhibition campus. We are very happy to have found an attractive replacement date for oohh! in March. This gives our exhibitors the most reliable basis for planning that is currently possible,” says Bernd Aufderheide, President and CEO, Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH.
Following close consultations with partners and external event organisers, Hamburg Messe und Congress has chosen the period from 24 until 28 March 2021.
“In these exceptional times marked by social distancing, travelling restrictions and austerity, people long for shared excitement and new adventures. We are therefore extremely pleased we will soon be able to once again present the entire bandwidth of holiday options and fascinating leisure trends at northern Germany’s biggest tourism trade fair,” Bernd Aufderheide adds.
The oohh! FreizeitWelten event unites six special-interest trade fairs under one roof: REISEN HAMBURG for general travelling, CARAVANING HAMBURG for camping enthusiasts, RAD HAMBURG for bicyclists, KREUZFAHRTWELT HAMBURG for cruises, FOTOHAVEN HAMBURG for photography and AUTOTAGE HAMBURG for car lovers. The oohh! event was originally planned for 3 to 7 February 2021.
