Turkish Airlines hand baggage parameters and weight allowance in 2024, as well as the additional items permitted in the cabin according to the current rules, are as follows:
Turkish Airlines Carry-On Baggage Size for Economy Class:
- One bag with dimensions up to 55x40x23 cm and a weight of up to 8 kg.
Turkish Airlines Carry-On Baggage Size for Business Class:
- Two bags with each bag not exceeding 55x40x23 cm and a weight limit of 8 kg per bag.
Personal Item (Additional Carry-On):
- All passengers are allowed to bring one personal item in addition to the free carry-on allowance.
- Personal items can include a laptop, tablet, ladies’ handbag, briefcase, small backpack, or umbrella.
- Personal item dimensions should not exceed 40x30x15 cm, and the weight should be up to 4 kg. An exception is made for umbrellas, which should not be longer than 90 cm.
Laptop as Carry-On:
- Passengers can bring a laptop as carry-on baggage with dimensions up to 40x30x15 cm and a weight of up to 4 kg.
- The laptop is considered a personal item, and only one laptop is allowed as a personal item.
Backpack as Carry-On:
- Passengers can bring a large backpack as the main carry-on with dimensions fitting within 55x40x23 cm and a weight of up to 8 kg.
- A small backpack can be taken as a personal item in addition to the main carry-on, with dimensions up to 40x30x15 cm and a weight of up to 4 kg.
Items Allowed as Carry-On for Economy Class Passengers:
- One wheeled bag or large backpack with dimensions of 55x40x23 cm and a weight of up to 8 kg.
- Personal item: laptop bag or small backpack with dimensions of 40x30x15 cm and a weight of up to 4 kg.
Items Allowed as Carry-On for Business Class Passengers:
- One-wheeled suitcase with dimensions of 55x40x23 cm and a weight of up to 8 kg.
- One large backpack with dimensions of 55x40x23 cm and a weight of up to 8 kg.
- Personal item: laptop bag or small backpack with dimensions of 40x30x15 cm and a weight of up to 4 kg.
Passengers can bring various items within the existing rules, such as backpacks or wheeled suitcases, as long as they comply with the specified limits in terms of number, size, and weight.
