The Netherlands is set to conclude its golden visa program on January 1, 2024.
The golden visa initiative was designed to attract affluent foreign individuals to invest in the country while obtaining a residence permit. Launched in 2013, the visa was part of an economic stimulus strategy aimed at bolstering the nation’s economy. Under the program, international applicants could secure residency by contributing a minimum of EUR 1,250,000 to the country’s economy, provided they also met other specified requirements.
The Netherlands is among several countries offering golden visa programs or similar schemes to foreign nationals.
