Russian Government Allocates Half a Billion Rubles for Upgrading Il-114 Aircraft

The Russian Cabinet of Ministers has directed an additional sum of 498.96 million rubles towards the refinement of the Il-114 aircraft. This financial injection is designated as Russia’s contribution to the charter capital of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC). The directive, signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, outlines the allocation from the federal budget to the public joint-stock company, UAC, to fund the modifications to the Il-114 aircraft.

According to the document, the budgetary investment of 498,960 thousand rubles is intended to be provided in 2024. The Il-114-300 is a Russian turboprop short-haul passenger aircraft designed for operation from both small aerodromes with concrete and unpaved runway surfaces.

Mishustin had previously emphasized that Russia is actively developing a lineup of aircraft that precisely meets the country’s needs. He specifically highlighted the significance of the Superjet, MS-21, Il-114, Ladoga, and Il-96 models in this strategic endeavor.
