Wildberries & Russ (RWB), in partnership with Russia’s Ministry of Economic Development, has launched a new initiative to promote domestic tourism through the WB Travel Marketplace of Experiences. The project aims to increase visibility for regional tourism offerings while supporting certified local guides and tour operators.

The first phase of the initiative includes five participating regions: Kaliningrad Region, Murmansk Region, the Republic of Dagestan, Tula Region, and Saint Petersburg. These destinations were selected after actively engaging certified guides and экскурсионные operators registered in the official Ministry of Economic Development registry.

Nationwide Advertising Campaign

To support the launch, a federal advertising campaign is already underway. Digital billboards operated by Russ are showcasing the participating regions’ landmarks, attractions, and travel routes across more than 20 Russian regions.

The campaign is also receiving significant online exposure through promotional banners displayed on the Wildberries marketplace, allowing millions of users to discover travel experiences available through the WB Travel platform.

Supporting Certified Local Guides

The initiative places particular emphasis on promoting experiences led by officially certified guides and tour operators. By integrating these offerings into the WB Travel Marketplace, the project aims to make it easier for travelers to book authentic local excursions while supporting regional tourism businesses.

Expansion Planned

Wildberries & Russ and the Ministry of Economic Development plan to expand the initiative by adding more Russian regions in the future. The partners expect the project to increase awareness of domestic destinations and encourage more travelers to explore different parts of Russia through curated local experiences.
