LOT Polish Airlines to Launch Flights to Tashkent

LOT Polish Airlines will establish regular flights to Tashkent from Warsaw, with the first passenger flight scheduled for March 14, 2024.

The flights to Tashkent route are planned to operate three times a week—on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—using Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. In April and May, the Polish carrier announced plans to introduce an additional flight on Tuesdays, with the scheduled return to Warsaw on Wednesdays.

“We have developed a schedule that is convenient for both transit passengers choosing Warsaw as a transfer point and those whose destination is the capital of Poland. Transit travelers through Warsaw can take advantage of LOT Polish Airlines’ extensive route network in Scandinavia, Western and Central Europe with convenient connections of less than 4 hours,” noted Michal FijoÅ‚, the CEO of the airline.

“The opening of flights between Warsaw and Tashkent is an important step for us in establishing air connections with Europe. After the pandemic, LOT Polish Airlines will become the first European airline to open routes for Uzbek citizens to European cities, and for Europeans to cities in Uzbekistan. We see this not only as cooperation between the airline and the airport but also as opening a new chapter in the development of tourism from both sides.

With the first flight, we expect a large group of Polish journalists, bloggers, influencers, and tour operators. A two-day program has been developed in collaboration with the Tourism Committee, during which guests will explore the culture, architecture, and cuisine of Uzbekistan,” added Javlonbek Umarhodjaev, the head of Uzbekistan Airports.

LOT Polish Airlines is a Polish airline founded in 1929 with its headquarters in Warsaw. The airline is a member of Star Alliance, the world’s oldest, largest, and most representative aviation alliance. With a fleet of around 80 aircraft, the airline’s route network covers over 100 different destinations.
