Delaware North has launched Waybound™, a new hospitality brand focused on premium nature-based accommodation, with the debut of Waybound Yosemite near the southern entrance to Yosemite National Park in California.
Located in Fish Camp, the new property introduces a contemporary cabin concept that combines private accommodation, elevated hospitality and immersive outdoor experiences inspired by the surrounding landscape.
Luxury Cabins Designed for Nature
At the heart of the Waybound concept are The Havens, a collection of 50 detached premium cabins designed to provide guests with privacy while maintaining a strong connection to nature.
Each two-bedroom cabin features spacious living areas, floor-to-ceiling picture windows, front porches and rear patios that frame views of the surrounding forest. Guests also receive curated amenities including Cocktail Chests for craft cocktails and destination-inspired Spa Boxes featuring wellness products.
The Commons Brings Guests Together
The Commons serves as the social heart of the property, bringing together dining, relaxation and guest experiences in one central space.
Facilities include The Coffee Counter for breakfast and specialty coffee, Plates + Pours for all-day dining and cocktails, and The General Store offering provisions, souvenirs and grab-and-go meals.
Outside, guests can enjoy a resort-style swimming pool, hot tub, shaded lounge areas and evening fire pits complete with complimentary s’mores.
Experiences Inspired by Yosemite
Each stay includes daily Waybound Moments, a series of immersive experiences designed to deepen guests’ connection with the destination through wellness, nature and local culture.
“Waybound™ is grounded in a philosophy that spaces designed to foster genuine human connection with nature and with oneself and others enhance rather than diminish the places they occupy,” said Derek Zwickey, Chief Operating Officer of Delaware North Parks & Resorts.
Evolution of the Explorer Cabins Concept
Waybound Yosemite represents the next evolution of Delaware North’s Explorer Cabins concept, which first launched in West Yellowstone, Montana, in 2013 before expanding to additional gateway destinations.
The Yosemite property transforms the former Explorer Cabins at Tenaya, originally opened in 2019, into the first hotel operating under the independent Waybound brand, introducing a new identity focused on contemporary design, sustainable stewardship and meaningful outdoor experiences.
