Preidlhof Luxury DolceVita Resort in Naturno, South Tyrol, has announced plans to unveil a newly redesigned spa in February 2027. The expansion forms part of the resort’s long-term wellness strategy and coincides with its 60th anniversary celebrations.
The new spa has been designed by wellness expert Patrizia Bortolin, who has served as the resort’s wellness concept manager since 2019. Bortolin is the creator of The Preidlhof Way, the property’s holistic wellness philosophy focused on personal transformation through science-based therapies, sensory experiences and ancient healing traditions.
A New Chapter for The Preidlhof Way
The new spa reflects the next evolution of The Preidlhof Way, combining relaxation with personal growth. Inspired by the contrasting landscapes of Monte Sole and Monte Tramontana, the design incorporates spaces balancing light and shade, energy and tranquillity to support both physical and emotional wellbeing.
According to Bortolin, the spa has been conceived as an environment that encourages curiosity, meaningful human connection and self-discovery rather than simply providing traditional wellness treatments.
Expanded Wellness Facilities
The redesigned spa will occupy 604 square metres, bringing the resort’s total wellness and spa area to approximately 5,700 square metres.
New facilities will include 10 individual treatment rooms, a dedicated couples’ suite and two garden treatment rooms overlooking the surrounding Alpine landscape. Guests will also have access to a new sauna, steam room, crystal meditation room and a dedicated studio for holistic classes and sound healing sessions.
The resort will expand its relaxation areas around the central swimming pool and introduce a new fitness centre with panoramic views across the Val Venosta valley. A landscaped spa garden will offer additional outdoor wellness experiences, while a Walk of Love pathway will showcase handcrafted works by local artisans.
The development will also feature a wellness library and a beauty boutique.
Building on an Award-Winning Spa
Preidlhof already offers one of Italy’s most extensive wellness facilities, including a six-storey sauna tower with 18 saunas, steam rooms and relaxation areas. Earlier this year, the resort added a snow room developed by TechnoAlpin Indoor, where temperatures are maintained at -10°C using freshly produced natural snow for contrast therapy experiences.
The new spa is scheduled to welcome its first guests in February 2027, further strengthening Preidlhof’s position as one of Europe’s leading destination wellness resorts.
