Luxury wellness destination The Retreat Costa Rica is expanding its health offering with the launch of a new longevity centre focused on nervous system health, cellular optimisation and personalised wellness programmes.
The new Vida MÃa Longevity Centre has opened inside the resort’s existing wellness complex, introducing physician-guided therapies designed around long-term health, recovery and whole-body wellbeing.
Wellness Resort Expands Beyond Traditional Spa Treatments
Founded in 2015 by celebrity chef, author and wellness coach Diana Stobo, The Retreat Costa Rica has built its reputation around holistic wellness and restorative retreats.
According to Stobo, the new longevity centre represents the property’s most ambitious expansion yet.
The concept focuses on helping the body recover through nervous system regulation, stress reduction and personalised health optimisation rather than traditional anti-ageing approaches.
Neuro-Wellness And Nervous System Therapies
One of the centre’s major focuses is neuro-wellness.
Guests can undergo bioenergetic evaluations designed to assess stress load through non-invasive testing and mineral analysis before receiving customised treatment plans.
Neural therapy treatments using micro-injections of procaine have also been introduced with the goal of resetting the autonomic nervous system and addressing inflammation, scar tissue and stress-related disruptions.
The centre additionally offers guided biofeedback sessions that use real-time monitoring of heart rate variability and breathing patterns to help regulate nervous system responses.
Cellular Therapies Include Hydrogen And Electromagnetic Treatments
New cellular optimisation therapies include pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMF), hydrogen therapy and intravenous nutrient treatments.
The centre also plans to offer peptide-based treatments focused on metabolic support, hormone balance and tissue regeneration.
These therapies are designed to target recovery, energy levels and broader physiological function rather than simply relaxation.
New Longevity Packages Introduced
The resort has launched several bundled wellness experiences combining multiple therapies.
The entry-level Vital Recharge programme combines neural therapy, hydrogen therapy and PEMF treatments, while more comprehensive options add neurofeedback sessions and additional optimisation therapies.
The flagship Ultimate Longevity Protocol combines multiple treatments into a full-day programme designed as the centre’s most comprehensive offering.
Additional Regenerative Treatments Planned
The centre says several new therapies are already planned for future launch.
These include biological dentistry focused on oral health and nervous system connections, regenerative stem cell therapies and red-light-based photonic treatments.
A Wellness Destination Built Around Nature
The Retreat Costa Rica is located near Atenas in Costa Rica’s Alajuela region at the base of a quartz mountain.
The adults-focused property currently offers 25 accommodations alongside restaurants, saltwater pools, yoga facilities, meditation spaces, organic gardens, coffee plantations and hiking trails.
With the addition of the new longevity centre, the resort is increasingly positioning itself at the intersection of luxury hospitality, preventative health and wellness tourism.
