One&Only to Open First French Alps Resort in Courchevel

Kerzner International has announced plans to bring the One&Only brand to the French Alps with the launch of a new ultra-luxury resort in Courchevel 1850.

Scheduled to welcome its first guests in 2030, the resort will mark One&Only’s debut in the Alps and continue the brand’s expansion into high-end mountain destinations following the opening of One&Only Moonlight Basin in Montana.

The new property will be developed on the historic site of the Courcheneige Hotel, a long-established address in Courchevel that will undergo a complete transformation as part of the project.

Prime Location In Courchevel 1850

The resort will be positioned within the exclusive Jardin Alpin area, offering direct ski-in and ski-out access to the Bellecôte slope and the wider Les Trois Vallées ski area.

Developers say the property will combine privacy and exclusivity with easy access to Courchevel’s luxury boutiques, restaurants and internationally known après-ski scene.

The design will blend traditional alpine architecture with One&Only’s contemporary luxury style, focusing on natural light, panoramic mountain views and residential-style comfort.

Luxury Hospitality And Wellness Focus

The resort will feature a mix of guest rooms and large suites designed to create an intimate alpine atmosphere while delivering high-end hospitality experiences.

A major wellness sanctuary will form a central part of the development, inspired by the restorative environment of the mountains.

Plans include indoor and outdoor thermal facilities, treatment spaces, recovery areas, beauty services and wellness programmes focused on relaxation, post-ski recovery and holistic wellbeing.

Guests will also have access to fitness and performance spaces designed to support both active travellers and wellness-focused visitors.

Dining And Social Experiences At The Core

One&Only said dining and entertainment will play a major role in the guest experience, with multiple restaurants, bars and lounges planned throughout the resort.

The culinary concept will range from relaxed slope-side dining to refined evening experiences and lively après-ski venues designed to reflect Courchevel’s internationally recognised social scene.

The company said the offering is being created to appeal to an international luxury clientele for whom gastronomy and entertainment are central parts of alpine travel.

Exclusive Branded Residences Planned

The project will also include a limited collection of One&Only Private Homes, offering branded residences in one of Europe’s most exclusive mountain markets.

The homes are aimed at buyers seeking a private alpine retreat combined with full resort services and hospitality.

Kerzner executives described the residences as a rare ownership opportunity in a market where supply remains highly constrained and demand for ultra-luxury alpine property continues to grow.

Major Step In European Expansion

Kerzner International chief executive Philippe Zuber described Courchevel as one of the world’s most iconic luxury mountain destinations and said the project represents a defining milestone for the One&Only brand.

The company believes the new resort will establish a new benchmark for luxury mountain hospitality in Europe by combining immersive experiences, wellness, design and high-end service in a globally recognised alpine setting.

Further details, including sales information for the private homes and additional opening timelines, are expected to be released at a later date.
