Nobu Hospitality has announced a partnership with wellness-focused members’ club Woolfox to develop Nobu Woolfox, a new luxury countryside destination in Rutland featuring a hotel, branded residences, restaurant and wellness facilities.
The project will mark the first rural retreat concept within Nobu Hospitality’s global portfolio.
Nobu Expands Beyond Urban Luxury Destinations
Located within 185 acres of countryside near the historic Georgian town of Stamford, Woolfox was originally founded in 2020 as a wellness-focused private members’ club.
Under the new partnership, the property will be rebranded and redeveloped as Nobu Woolfox, although an official reopening timeline has not yet been announced.
The completed development will include lake-view guestrooms and suites, a signature Nobu restaurant and bar, curated food and beverage concepts and a luxury spa.
The project will also introduce a collection of Nobu-branded residences as part of the wider hospitality offering.
Wellness And Leisure Facilities Planned
Developers said the countryside retreat will place a strong emphasis on wellness, relaxation and nature-focused experiences.
Planned facilities include a dedicated spa, swimming pool, gym and landscaped outdoor areas designed to complement the surrounding rural environment.
Nobu Woolfox will operate as both a destination retreat and members’ club, combining luxury hospitality with wellness and leisure programming.
Nobu Continues Expanding UK Presence
Nobu Hospitality was founded by chef Nobu Matsuhisa alongside actor Robert De Niro and businessman Meir Teper.
The luxury hospitality brand currently operates hotels, restaurants and residences globally and continues expanding its presence across the United Kingdom.
In addition to the Rutland project, Nobu is also developing a £360 million mixed-use project in Manchester featuring a Nobu hotel, restaurant and branded residences.
