Eviivo Integrates Smart Lock Control Into PMS With New Device Manager

eviivo has introduced a new Device Manager feature within its eviivo Suite PMS, aiming to streamline property operations by integrating smart lock management directly into core hospitality workflows.

The update connects access control with booking, payment and guest communication systems, addressing long-standing inefficiencies caused by fragmented tools and manual processes.

Automated Access Codes Linked To Bookings

With Device Manager, once a smart lock is assigned to a room or unit, the system automatically generates a unique access code for each confirmed reservation.

The code remains valid throughout the guest’s stay and can be adjusted to accommodate early check-ins or late departures. Delivery of access details is automated through the platform’s Guest Manager module, aligning communication with the booking journey.

This eliminates the need for manual code creation and separate lock management apps.

Centralised Control And Real-Time Monitoring

The platform also introduces a central dashboard that provides visibility over lock status, battery levels, connectivity and device mapping.

Property managers can remotely unlock doors, retrieve access codes or troubleshoot issues without being on-site. The system also allows differentiated access levels for housekeeping and maintenance teams, extending its use beyond guest entry.

Targeting Fragmented Hospitality Workflows

The move is designed to address operational complexity, particularly for independent operators and multi-property businesses that often rely on multiple disconnected systems.

By embedding access management into the PMS, eviivo aims to simplify workflows and reduce the administrative burden associated with guest arrivals.

Adam Buckmaster, Director of Product Marketing and Strategic Solutions at eviivo, said the integration responds to growing demand for seamless guest experiences alongside operational efficiency.

Focus On Scalable Guest Experience

The company positions Device Manager as part of a broader push toward automation and connected hospitality systems.

The feature supports compatibility with hundreds of smart lock models and integrates with third-party solutions for key cards and mobile keys. Future developments are expected to expand into other connected devices, including thermostats.

The launch reflects a wider industry trend toward unified platforms that combine operational tools with guest-facing technology, enabling faster check-ins and more consistent service delivery across properties.
