Hard Rock Atlantic City Announces $50m Renovation Plan for 2026

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City is moving into 2026 with another major reinvestment push, announcing a $50m capital improvement plan that will reshape large parts of its North Tower and refresh key guest-facing areas across the resort.

The upgrades continue a long-running strategy of heavy property investment since Hard Rock Atlantic City opened in 2018 – with the company now putting its total spend close to $700m.

700+ rooms, suites and penthouses to be renovated

The core of the 2026 plan is a large-scale renovation of the resort’s North Tower accommodation inventory.

Alongside the room redesigns, walkways and corridors in the North Tower will also be upgraded – part of a wider effort to modernise the resort’s circulation areas and improve the overall arrival and in-property experience.

Most of the renovation work is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

New dining concepts and refreshed arrival areas

Hard Rock Atlantic City is also expanding its food and beverage offering, with new dining options planned as part of the capital programme.

One of the headline openings is Sitar, a new East Indian restaurant that will add another global cuisine option to the resort’s dining mix.

The changes are designed to refresh first impressions and update high-traffic areas that shape how the property feels on entry.

EV charging expansion and exterior restoration

Beyond rooms and interiors, the resort is continuing infrastructure improvements.

Hard Rock has added a total of 16 electric vehicle chargers at Rocktane Gas & Wash, reflecting growing demand for EV-friendly travel amenities.

Exterior restoration work is also continuing on the South Tower, part of a longer-term property maintenance and visual upgrade programme.

Part of a multi-year investment cycle

Hard Rock Atlantic City has been in an almost continuous improvement cycle since launching in 2018.

In 2023, the resort announced another $50m round of upgrades, including:

  • penthouse suite updates
  • a new high-limit slot parlour
  • private helicopter access
  • upgraded beachfront amenities

The latest announcement positions the 2026 plan as the next phase in a broader strategy: keeping the property competitive in a high-pressure regional casino market where room quality, dining variety and entertainment programming are increasingly decisive.

Entertainment remains a core pillar

Hard Rock is also doubling down on live entertainment as a key driver of resort traffic.

The property continues to host major acts across venues including:

  • Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena
  • Sound Waves
  • Vibe Stages

The 2026 entertainment lineup is expected to feature Rod Stewart, James Taylor, Charlie Puth and other headliners – reinforcing Hard Rock’s positioning as a music-first casino resort.

“Unwavering commitment to reinvestment”

Hard Rock Atlantic City president George Goldhoff framed the $50m plan as both a guest experience upgrade and a statement of long-term commitment to the city.

“Our $50m capital improvement plan for 2026 reflects Hard Rock Atlantic City’s unwavering commitment to reinvesting in our resort, our team members, and the Atlantic City community,” Goldhoff said.

“From redesigned guest suites and new dining concepts to world-class entertainment, and continued community engagement, these investments ensure we continue delivering an exceptional guest experience while honouring one of our four core mottos to ‘Love All, Serve All’.”

Hard Rock’s wider US expansion

The Atlantic City announcement comes as Hard Rock International continues expanding its footprint elsewhere in the US.

Earlier this month, the company revealed plans for the $850m Hard Rock Hotel & Casino San Juan, signalling that the brand’s US growth strategy is accelerating – with major capital projects moving forward in parallel across multiple markets.
