Belavia and Arkia to Resume Minsk–Tel Aviv Flights

Direct air travel between Belarus and Israel is set to return in early 2026. Belavia has announced that it will resume regular flights from Minsk to Tel Aviv beginning January 8, 2026, restoring one of the airline’s longstanding and historically significant routes, first launched in 1995.

Belavia will operate two weekly flights on Thursdays and Sundays. Departures from Minsk are scheduled for 07:10 with arrival in Tel Aviv at 12:20. The return flight leaves Tel Aviv at 13:15 and arrives in Minsk at 20:40. The flight time will be 6 hours 10 minutes to Israel and 6 hours 25 minutes on the way back.

The service will be operated by Boeing 737-8 aircraft, featuring a business-class cabin and hot meals onboard. The airline notes that flights to Israel have played an important role in its network, and that service was suspended in February 2022 for reasons beyond its control.

In addition to Belavia’s return to Israel, Arkia Airlines will also launch operations to Belarus. The Israeli carrier’s first flight from Tel Aviv to Minsk is scheduled for February 2, 2026. With this, full direct air connectivity between the two countries – interrupted in spring 2022 – will be restored.

Arkia will operate two weekly flights on Mondays and Fridays. The flight time will be approximately four hours to Belarus and 3.5 hours on the return. Ticket prices start at USD 249, with bookings currently available for February and March 2026.

The resumption of direct routes is expected to support tourism, business travel and family visits, marking a significant reopening of an important corridor between the two countries.
