American Airlines will resume daily flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Tel Aviv, Israel, starting March 28, 2026. Return flights from Tel Aviv to New York will begin on March 31, 2026. The route will be operated by Boeing 777-200ER aircraft, and tickets are already available for booking.
This marks the carrier’s return to Israel after more than two years of suspension. American Airlines halted its JFK–Tel Aviv service in October 2023 following the Hamas attacks on October 7, which prompted several global airlines to pause operations in the region.
With the restart, American becomes the last of the three major U.S. carriers to reinstate flights to Israel. United Airlines resumed its Newark–Tel Aviv service in March 2025, while Delta Air Lines followed in April 2025. Both airlines temporarily suspended flights again in May 2025 after a missile strike near Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport, before resuming operations later in the year.
The return of American Airlines to Israel underscores renewed confidence in regional stability and growing travel demand between the United States and the Middle East.
