Michelin has announced that the world-famous MICHELIN Guide is expanding to Cappadocia, one of Türkiye’s most iconic and atmospheric regions. The very first restaurant selection for Cappadocia will be revealed on December 4, 2025, during a ceremony at Istanbul’s Four Seasons Hotel Bosphorus, alongside the latest selections for İstanbul, İzmir, and Muğla.
This marks another milestone for Türkiye’s growing reputation as a global culinary destination. After first launching in İstanbul in 2022, the Guide later extended to İzmir and Muğla, highlighting the diversity of Türkiye’s food scene. Now Cappadocia joins the list — a region where gastronomy is deeply rooted in Anatolian traditions and local terroir.
Visitors can expect to see a wide variety of culinary styles recognized, from fine-dining restaurants to traditional eateries. The region is famous for slow-cooked Tandır meats, fermented specialties, hearty soups, rich mezze spreads, and the iconic sealed clay pot dishes that have become a symbol of Cappadocian cuisine.
Beyond the table, Cappadocia itself is a destination like no other: a land of surreal valleys, sunrise hot-air balloon spectacles, cave dwellings, and the UNESCO-listed Göreme National Park and Rock Sites.
By adding Cappadocia, Michelin reinforces Türkiye’s position as one of the most dynamic culinary destinations in the world — where history, landscape, and gastronomy combine to create unforgettable travel experiences.
