The Hoxton to Open First Irish Hotel in Dublin’s Creative Quarter

Lifestyle hotel brand The Hoxton is set to make its debut in Ireland with the opening of a new property on Exchequer Street in Dublin’s Creative Quarter. Housed in the restored Victorian building once home to the Central Hotel, the new Hoxton will feature 129 rooms, multiple food and drink concepts, and a nightlife venue—marking a milestone expansion for the brand.

A Design-Led Community Hub

Led by AIME Studios, Ennismore’s in-house design team, the interiors balance tradition with contemporary flair. The welcoming lobby and bar nods to the charm of an Irish pub while weaving in stripped-back, industrial influences. Viking-era ruins discovered during redevelopment add a unique historic layer to the space, which is envisioned as the neighborhood’s “unofficial living room.” The atmosphere will evolve throughout the day, transforming from a laptop-friendly café to a lively evening bar with curated wines, cocktails, and local pours.

Bedrooms Inspired by Ireland

The hotel’s 129 bedrooms fall into familiar Hox categories—Snug, Cosy, Roomy, and Biggy—and are styled with autumnal Irish tones of leafy green, auburn, and deep brown. Decorative details like scalloping and fringing pair with bold, modern accents to create a distinct blend of past and present.

Food, Drink, and Nightlife

Guests and locals alike will find a wide mix of dining and social spaces:

  • Cantina Valentina: A vibrant Peruvian-inspired restaurant and bar, already a favorite at The Hoxton Brussels, serving all-day plates with the warmth of a traditional picantería.

  • Dollars: A dual-concept deli and wine bar—New York–inspired sandwiches, sweet treats, and artisanal coffee by day; natural wines and playful bar snacks by night.

  • The Library Bar: A beloved Dublin landmark returns, reimagined with traditional furnishings, dark timber finishes, and its signature offerings, from cheese toasties to pints of Guinness by the fire.

  • Groundwork: The Hoxton’s first-ever nightlife venue, a basement space designed as a celebration of community, inclusiveness, and club culture.

In the Heart of Dublin’s Creative Quarter

The location places The Hoxton in one of Dublin’s most dynamic neighborhoods, surrounded by independent shops, artisan craft stores, vintage boutiques, and cafés. Just steps away are George’s Street Arcade and Powerscourt Townhouse Centre, while Grafton Street and Temple Bar are within easy walking distance.

With its design-forward interiors, community-minded ethos, and an eclectic mix of dining and cultural spaces, The Hoxton Dublin is set to become a new hub for locals and travelers alike, offering a stylish base from which to explore the capital.
