Dublin has a new addition to its hotel scene as Ennismore officially opens The Hoxton Dublin, marking the brand’s debut in Ireland. Set on Exchequer Street, the property brings the former Central Hotel back to life, restoring its character and its much-loved Library Bar while giving the building a fresh, contemporary personality.
The hotel features 129 bedrooms in classic Hoxton categories like Snug, Cosy, Roomy and Biggy. The spaces pull from Ireland’s autumn palette, with deep greens, auburn touches and warm browns that match the city’s moodier, more atmospheric side. The lobby and lounge weave in nods to traditional Irish pubs, while the design also includes subtle references to the Viking history uncovered during development.
Food and drink play a central role in the experience. Guests can settle into Cantina Valentina for all-day Peruvian-inspired plates, grab daytime sandwiches and evening natural wines at Dollars, or return to the restored Library Bar for a quieter, more intimate setting.
A first for The Hoxton brand arrives below ground. Groundwork, a late-night, 220-capacity music venue, will open in early 2026. Built as a space for dancing and connection, it signals The Hoxton’s growing interest in culture-driven hospitality that extends beyond the guestrooms.
The Dublin opening follows closely behind The Hoxton Edinburgh, which recently became the brand’s first Scottish property. Open now in Haymarket, the Edinburgh hotel spreads 214 rooms across 11 Georgian townhouses and includes three self-contained Houses designed for longer stays, especially during busy festival seasons.
The Hoxton sits within Ennismore’s broader portfolio, alongside names like 25hours Hotels, Mama Shelter, Mondrian and SLS. Ennismore, a joint venture in which Accor holds the majority stake, currently operates more than 180 hotels and resorts, with more than 140 still in the pipeline. Its restaurant and bar portfolio spans over 500 venues worldwide, with hundreds more under development.
