Emirates has officially launched Crypto.com Pay, enabling eligible customers in the United Arab Emirates to pay for flight bookings using the digital payment solution on the airline’s website and mobile app.
The new payment option is available for customers with a Crypto.com account booking flights priced and settled in UAE dirhams (AED). Transactions are processed securely and comply with UAE regulatory requirements.
Crypto.com Pay Now Available at Checkout
Customers booking through the Emirates App can select Crypto.com Pay during checkout and will be redirected to the Crypto.com app to authorize the payment before returning to the airline’s app to receive their booking confirmation and e-ticket.
Desktop users booking through emirates.com can also choose Crypto.com Pay at the payment stage, scan a QR code using the Crypto.com app and approve the transaction before completing their reservation.
The launch follows a memorandum of understanding signed by Emirates and Crypto.com in July 2025 to explore integrating the payment platform into the airline’s digital payment ecosystem.
Supporting Dubai’s Digital Economy Strategy
According to Emirates, the new payment option reflects growing demand from digitally focused travelers who increasingly manage both their finances and travel plans through mobile devices.
The integration is operated through Crypto.com’s Dubai entity, the first Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) to receive a Stored Value Facilities (SVF) license from the Central Bank of the UAE.
The initiative also supports the Dubai Cashless Strategy under the D33 Economic Agenda, which aims for 90% of all financial transactions across the public and private sectors to be conducted digitally by the end of 2026.
Emirates said the rollout further expands customer payment options while reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global hub for financial technology and digital innovation.
