Seabourn Quest Unveils Biggest Refit before Mediterranean Cruises

Seabourn has completed what it describes as the most extensive interior refurbishment ever undertaken aboard Seabourn Quest, introducing wide-ranging upgrades across suites, restaurants, entertainment venues and wellness facilities.

The refurbishment affects nearly every major guest area onboard the 458-passenger ultra-luxury cruise ship as Seabourn continues investing in fleet modernization and premium guest experiences.

The project focused on improving passenger flow, refreshing accommodation spaces and creating a more contemporary onboard environment while maintaining the line’s luxury positioning.

All suites upgraded across the 458-guest ship

Every suite onboard Seabourn Quest received updates during the refurbishment.

Changes include new mattresses and wool carpeting throughout all accommodation categories, while Penthouse and higher-tier suites additionally received upgraded veranda furniture.

The improvements are designed to enhance comfort across the ship’s all-suite accommodation offering while aligning interiors more closely with recent updates introduced across the broader fleet.

Restaurants, lounges and entertainment spaces redesigned

One of the most significant transformations occurred at The Club, where Seabourn introduced a redesigned bar, updated lighting systems and a reconfigured layout intended to improve circulation between seating areas, dance floors and social spaces.

Elsewhere onboard, Seabourn Square — the cruise line’s open-plan reception and social hub — now features updated furniture and new bistro-style seating arrangements.

The Observation Bar also received new carpeting and furnishings designed to create a brighter atmosphere.

Dining venues were another major focus of the refurbishment.

The Colonnade, Seabourn Quest’s indoor-outdoor restaurant, now includes new flooring, seating, carpeting and upgraded service areas that better showcase live cooking experiences.

The ship’s main restaurant also received new drapery and carpeting as part of the refresh.

Pool deck, spa and wellness facilities modernised

Public areas across the ship were updated with new carpeting inspired by water movement patterns, particularly throughout atriums, corridors and stairways.

The main pool deck received new teak surfaces alongside upgraded lighting and sound systems.

Meanwhile, the spa complex underwent substantial changes including a redesigned reception area, new salon finishes and upgraded fitness equipment.

Retail spaces onboard were also renovated to align with newer design standards introduced across the Seabourn fleet.

Luxury cruise lines continue investing in refurbishment programs

The extensive modernization reflects a wider trend across premium and luxury cruise operators, many of which continue investing heavily in existing ships while awaiting newbuild deliveries.

For Seabourn, upgrading Seabourn Quest allows the company to extend the ship’s premium positioning while responding to growing competition within the luxury cruise market.

With refreshed accommodation, redesigned social spaces and upgraded wellness facilities, Seabourn Quest now re-enters service with one of the line’s most comprehensive shipwide upgrades to date.
