A new chapter in ultra-luxury travel has begun as Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts makes its long-anticipated move into yachting with the debut of Four Seasons I in the Mediterranean.
The inaugural voyage, which set sail on March 20, 2026, coincides with the company’s 65th anniversary, linking the launch of its first yacht to the opening of its first hotel in 1961 and reinforcing a legacy now extending from land to sea.
Four Seasons I has been designed as a residential-style superyacht rather than a traditional cruise ship, prioritising space, privacy, and highly personalised service. At 207 metres in length, the vessel features just 95 suites, all with generous indoor-outdoor living and no interior cabins. Many include expansive terraces and private plunge pools, creating a level of exclusivity more commonly associated with private yachts.
The design subtly references the golden age of yachting, drawing inspiration from icons such as Christina O while translating that heritage into a contemporary, light-filled setting. Floor-to-ceiling windows and open layouts ensure a constant connection to the surrounding sea, while leading studios including Tillberg Design of Sweden and Martin Brudnizki Design Studio contribute to a refined and cohesive aesthetic. The yacht was built by Fincantieri.
Culinary ambition is central to the experience, with 11 restaurants and lounges positioning the vessel as a destination in its own right. The signature restaurant Sedna introduces a Chef-in-Residence programme featuring talent from Michelin-starred Four Seasons properties, including Christian Le Squer, Guillaume Galliot and Paolo Lavezzini. Dining extends beyond formal settings into social spaces such as Horizon Bar and Bar O, where design and atmosphere shape the rhythm of life on board.
Wellness is embedded throughout the journey, anchored by L’Oceana Spa, which draws on the five elements of vitality and offers a full thermal circuit alongside advanced treatments including cryotherapy and hydrotherapy. Daily programming includes yoga, meditation, breathwork, and personalised fitness, reflecting a broader focus on restoration and longevity.
One of the yacht’s defining features is its transverse marina, which opens across both sides of the vessel to create direct access to the sea. During dedicated marina days, this space becomes a private retreat for swimming, water sports, and curated experiences, reinforcing the connection between the yacht and its surroundings.
The inaugural Mediterranean season combines iconic destinations with more secluded coastal stops, including Saint-Tropez, Bodrum, Hydra and Montenegro, alongside itineraries across the Greek islands and the Croatian coast.
Across its first year, Four Seasons I will operate 32 voyages spanning 52 sailings and more than 130 destinations, with winter routes shifting to the Caribbean and the Bahamas. The launch signals not just an expansion, but a redefinition of luxury travel at sea, bringing Four Seasons service philosophy into an entirely new environment.
