SHA Mexico Launches Stem Cell Therapy Program for Longevity Guests

SHA Mexico has launched a new mesenchymal stem cell therapy programme as it expands its push into regenerative medicine and the fast-growing longevity sector.

The luxury wellness resort in Costa Mujeres says the treatment is offered through its Cellular Regeneration Program, backed by an on-site stem cell bank and a GMP-certified laboratory. SHA says the set-up lets it process, store and administer cellular therapies under one roof while meeting Mexico’s health authority, COFEPRIS.

The company says the programme is designed to tackle biological ageing through personalised regenerative protocols that combine stem cell therapy, exosomes, biomarker testing and physician oversight. The launch comes as more high-end wellness operators move into science-led treatments aimed at improving healthspan and performance.

SHA said mesenchymal stem cells are chosen according to each guest’s biological profile and are used for their regenerative, anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties. The resort also says exosomes are included in treatment plans to support cellular communication and repair mechanisms, which it says may improve the consistency and effectiveness of regenerative outcomes.

The programme is not offered as a standalone procedure. SHA integrates it into wider medical stays that include functional medicine, personalised nutrition and comprehensive diagnostics.

“Stem cell therapy is undoubtedly one of the most promising therapeutic frontiers, not only within longevity, but as a cornerstone of the future of healthcare,” said Alejandro Bataller, co-founder and managing partner of SHA. “At SHA, we are committed to leading this frontier as the true home of health optimization, ensuring this therapy is applied not as an isolated treatment, but as part of a rigorous, medically designed protocol.”

Eligibility begins before guests arrive, with screening that continues on site through medical evaluations and biomarker analysis. Guests remain under physician supervision throughout their stay, and the experience ends with a personalised long-term health plan.

The Cellular Regeneration Program is currently offered as a four-night medical stay. SHA says the model reflects growing demand for wellness trips that combine luxury hospitality with clinical treatments.

The company is positioning the launch as part of a broader shift in the wellness industry, where travellers are increasingly seeking medical-grade services tied to longevity and performance. By adding stem cell therapy to its existing offer, SHA is strengthening its role in the emerging longevity tourism market.
