Luxury home-rental brand onefinestay is scaling back its presence in several major global cities as part of a broader strategic shift under new operator Exclusive Collective.
The move follows a partnership announced last year between Exclusive Resorts and Accor to expand the group’s private homes business. Now, the “next chapter” for onefinestay signals a more selective, high-end positioning.
Major Cities Dropped From New Bookings
From June 3, 2026, onefinestay will stop taking new bookings in key urban markets including Paris, New York, and Los Angeles.
In addition, parts of its London and Paris portfolio will be reassigned to Veeve, ensuring continuity for both homeowners and guests.
According to company leadership, the shift is designed to streamline operations and enhance service consistency rather than reduce overall quality or reach.
A More Selective Luxury Strategy
The overhaul centers on narrowing the portfolio to a curated set of high-end properties in markets where demand is strongest.
In London, onefinestay will maintain a smaller collection of around 40 homes, focusing on larger, premium properties in neighborhoods such as South Kensington and Belgravia. The emphasis will be on space, location, and elevated service standards tailored to high-net-worth travelers.
At the same time, the company plans to expand its footprint in leisure-driven destinations across Europe, the Caribbean, and North America – reflecting shifting demand patterns toward experiential and resort-style travel.
Transition Plans For Partners And Clients
Despite the operational changes, onefinestay confirmed that existing bookings will not be affected. Guests with confirmed stays prior to the transition date can expect no disruption to their experience.
For travel advisors, commission structures will remain unchanged for existing bookings, while new reservations from June 3 onward will be handled and paid through Veeve where applicable.
Consortia benefits and inclusions will continue to be honored across the transition, maintaining consistency for clients and partners.
Strengthening The Premium Position
Ashlee Collins, President of onefinestay, described the shift as an “evolution” aimed at reinforcing the brand’s core strengths.
By tightening its portfolio and focusing on high-demand destinations, the company is positioning itself to deliver a more consistent and elevated guest experience – aligning with broader trends in luxury travel, where exclusivity and service quality increasingly outweigh scale.
As the private rental sector becomes more competitive, onefinestay’s recalibration highlights a growing divide between volume-driven platforms and curated, high-end offerings targeting discerning global travelers.
