Altus Hospitality, the lifestyle vertical of Club Quarters Hotels, has launched a new lifestyle hotel brand, The Webster, with its first two locations confirmed for London and New York City.
The brand’s London debut, The Webster Covent Garden, is scheduled to open in July on Lincoln’s Inn Fields, offering 167 bedrooms. A second property, The Webster Times Square, will follow in New York City this winter.
Across both hotels, The Webster’s design concept has been developed by London-based architecture and interior design studio Red Deer, with an aesthetic built around warm minimalism, tactile materials and nostalgic details.
Guestrooms are designed in warm neutral palettes with textured plank flooring, complemented by hand-knotted wool rugs and bespoke light fixtures crafted in brass and alabaster. The rooms also incorporate a series of retro-inspired touches including Marshall speakers, Jacob Jensen phones, classic alarm clocks and hand-selected books, alongside bespoke artwork and custom-patterned drapery.
Bathrooms continue the same design language, featuring terrazzo flooring and organic ceramic wall tiles in neutral tones. Finishes include brushed-nickel Kohler fixtures and softly illuminated mirrors.
In London, The Webster Covent Garden will also anchor its identity around dining, nightlife and cultural programming. The hotel will feature three food and beverage concepts inspired by Italy.
Carmelina’s, an Italian-inspired restaurant and speakeasy, will be located on the lower level and designed with deep red velvets and a sculptural gold-hammered bar. The venue will also host live jazz in the evenings.
A café and aperitivo bar will operate from the lobby and adjacent terrace with an all-day menu, while a late-night Italo-Disco venue, Carla’s List, will sit downstairs.
Beyond hospitality, The Webster is positioning itself as a social and cultural hub, with a curated calendar of programming including literary salons, artist residencies, live performances and neighbourhood collaborations.
Joseph Turano, chief operating officer at The Webster, said the brand aims to create spaces that feel welcoming and community-driven in two of the world’s most competitive hotel markets.
“We’re thrilled to introduce The Webster to travelers in both London and New York City,” he said. “Our goal is to create spaces that invite curiosity, spark conversation, and cultivate a true sense of belonging – whether that means lingering over a great meal, discovering a new book, or connecting with strangers who quickly become friends.”
The Webster Covent Garden will open in July 2026 and is now accepting reservations, with rates starting at £350.
