Turkish Airlines and Air Algérie Expand Partnership with New Cooperation Deal

Turkish Airlines and Air Algérie have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Algiers to broaden their strategic partnership and expand their existing codeshare agreement. The deal, signed on 10 October 2025 by Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal Ekşi and Air Algérie CEO Hamza Benhamouda at Air Algérie’s headquarters, aims to enhance connectivity between Türkiye and Algeria while strengthening links for travellers across both networks.

The agreement outlines a framework for collaboration in several areas, including cargo interline services, aircraft leasing, catering, lounge access, maintenance and ground handling. It also includes joint efforts on environmental projects, sustainability initiatives and training programmes.

Both airlines said the expanded partnership is designed to support business growth and foster cultural and economic exchange – a move that could boost travel options and market access for tourism and trade between the two countries.
