Four new high-comfort buses will soon operate a direct transfer route between Novokuznetsk Airport and the Sheregesh ski resort, as part of a multimodal transport project announced by the Ministry of Tourism of the Kemerovo Region.
According to the plan, the new specialized coaches will be equipped to carry ski equipment and large luggage, providing a faster and more convenient journey for winter tourists. The buses will run directly from the airport to the resort, without entering the city of Novokuznetsk.
“These buses are expected to begin operating by the opening of the new ski season on November 22,” said Alexey Stoyanov, Director of the Sheregesh Resort Directorate.
The new route will cut travel time from four hours to just two, with passengers delivered directly to their hotels. The vehicles will be purchased by the regional transport directorate as part of a broader effort to improve tourist accessibility and modernize infrastructure in southern Kuzbass.
The initiative supports Sheregesh’s continued growth as one of Russia’s leading winter resorts, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors each season from across the country and abroad.
