Turkish Airlines and Gulf Air Sign MoU to Boost Connectivity Between Turkey, Bahrain and Global Destinations

Turkish Airlines, the flag carrier of Turkey, and Gulf Air, Bahrain’s national airline, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation and expand travel options between the Middle East, Europe, and beyond.

The agreement focuses on enhancing connectivity between Istanbul and Manama, as well as key international hubs such as London and New York, creating smoother travel opportunities for both leisure and business passengers.

As part of the collaboration, the two airlines will explore new route development, joint ventures, and reciprocal loyalty programs, offering customers greater flexibility and integrated travel solutions.

“This partnership underlines our shared commitment to improving travel convenience for passengers,” said representatives of the airlines. “Together, we aim to provide more seamless connections across Europe, the Middle East, and international long-haul markets.”

One of the most significant advantages of the MoU is the expansion of travel options:

  • Passengers flying from London or New York can now connect more easily via Istanbul to reach Manama and Gulf destinations.

  • Travelers from Bahrain will benefit from Turkish Airlines’ extensive European network, gaining simpler access to cities such as Paris, Rome, and London.

The strategic cooperation between the two national carriers reflects the growing demand for cross-regional connectivity, as both Turkey and Bahrain continue to develop as key centers for tourism, business, and international trade.
