TIS2025 in Seville to Showcase Innovation, Technology, and Sustainability in Hospitality

The Tourism Innovation Summit (TIS2025) will take place from October 22 to 24 in Seville, bringing together more than 8,000 professionals from across the hotel and tourism industry. This year’s edition will focus on the application of artificial intelligence, automation, integrated technologies, personalized guest experiences, and practical sustainability initiatives that go beyond slogans.

A central feature of TIS2025 is the Hospitality Tech Forum, one of the key components of the summit, which gathers executives from leading hotel chains—including IHG Hotels & Resorts, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Accor, Barceló Group, Minor Hotels, Sercotel, SmartRental Group, and Intelier Hotels & Suites—to discuss the profound changes shaping the industry.

Adapting Global Strategies to Local Markets
One of the main topics will be how international hotel chains tailor global strategies to local markets. Speakers such as Helena Burstedt, Regional VP of Development at Hyatt; Coré Martín, VP of Development for Spain and Portugal at Accor; and Diego Álvarez, Director of Development for Iberia at IHG, will explore balancing standardization and personalization. This approach allows hotels to deliver authentic, locally resonant experiences while maintaining brand consistency and innovation.

Sustainability in Practice
Real operational sustainability will also be a focal point. Jean-Baptiste Roussel, CSR Project Director Europe & North Africa at Accor, will highlight how ESG objectives can be translated into tangible actions—covering waste reduction, energy efficiency, staff training, collaboration with local suppliers, and honest communication with guests to avoid greenwashing.

Technology and AI for Operational Efficiency
Artificial intelligence will feature prominently in discussions on practical applications beyond marketing, including demand forecasting, price optimization, process automation, and personalized services. Sessions will explore how AI improves both guest experience and internal operational efficiency, providing hoteliers with actionable insights for decision-making.

Revenue Management and Diversifying Audiences
The forum will also address innovative approaches to boosting revenue in low-demand periods. Leaders like Iker Llano, CEO of Intelier Hotels & Suites, will discuss strategies to attract digital nomads, local travelers, and niche audiences with products focused on wellness, culture, and health tourism.

Human Resources and Organizational Culture
Challenges such as absenteeism will be examined not as temporary problems but as indicators of outdated organizational models. Experts like Javier Tausía, CEO of DeLuna Hotels, and Rodrigo Fitaroni, CEO of MarSenses Hotels & Homes, will share insights on employee well-being, corporate culture, and operational flexibility.

The Rise of Lifestyle Hostels
Another key trend is the transformation of hostels into lifestyle accommodations. Speakers including Carlos Escoda, CEO of SmartRental Group; Ramón Jiménez, CEO of The Loft House; and Carlos Cano, Managing Director of Latroupe Hostels, will explore how hostels are attracting global, younger audiences with innovative design, community-focused events, and diversified revenue streams.

Emerging Themes in Hospitality
The forum will also tackle convergence between hotels and other tourist accommodations, the humanization of digital experiences, innovative experiential lodging, resource-efficient sustainability, and the strategic role of partnerships and networks for independent hotels.

TIS2025 and the Hospitality Tech Forum continue to position themselves as must-attend events for industry leaders, offering a platform to anticipate trends, share actionable solutions, and build a smarter, more human, and sustainable future for tourism and hospitality.
