Paris has a new reason to shine. The iconic Four Seasons Hotel George V has completed a sweeping three-year renovation, transforming all 243 of its rooms and suites into refined spaces that feel less like hotel accommodations and more like private Parisian residences. It is the first full renovation of the property since its grand reopening in 1999.
Led by internationally renowned designer Pierre-Yves Rochon, the project reflects a vision of timeless elegance balanced with modern comforts. The result is a collection of rooms that capture the spirit of classic Haussmann-style apartments, while integrating subtle contemporary touches, abundant natural light, and discreet high-tech amenities.
Guests will now find larger-than-average layouts, personal libraries, and private dining spaces across the new rooms. French windows open onto leafy balconies and urban gardens, with select suites framing breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower and Paris’s rooftops. Inside, carefully chosen materials and design elements blend Louis XVI-style furnishings, 19th-century artwork, and soft color palettes to create harmony and serenity.
Sarmad Zok, Managing Director of Kingdom Hotel Investments, describes the renovation as part of a long-term vision: “George V is an iconic Parisian landmark. Over the years we’ve added Michelin-starred restaurants, an exceptional spa, and renovated public spaces. Now, with this reinvention of our rooms and suites, the palace continues to embody the very best in global hospitality.”
Among the newly unveiled highlights are three signature suites:
The Penthouse Suite – a romantic top-floor retreat with three terraces and panoramic views of the Eiffel Tower, adorned with orchids, Baccarat fixtures, and hand-finished gold leaf ceilings.
The Parisian Eiffel Suite – designed as a refined family apartment, offering multiple connected bedrooms, landscaped terraces, and a décor rich in Parisian detailing, from Versailles parquet floors to Murano glass.
The Premier Suite – a light-filled sanctuary with a private library, contemporary artwork, and a serene balance of emerald accents, Carrara marble, and subtle gilding.
Technology is integrated throughout the redesigned rooms. Discreet home automation, customizable mood lighting, and advanced audiovisual systems ensure guests enjoy a seamless balance between classic elegance and modern convenience.
General Manager Thibault Drege emphasizes that the renovation was carried out while the hotel remained fully operational, highlighting the George V’s ability to reinvent itself with discretion. “We wanted to create living spaces inspired by the elegance of Parisian apartments, places that feel authentic and calming, without compromising the excellence of service our guests expect,” Drege explains.
For designer Pierre-Yves Rochon, the project redefines the very essence of a luxury hotel: “George V is no longer just a destination—it’s an address, a home in Paris. Through this renovation, the palace has been transformed while remaining true to its soul and timeless character.”
With its three Michelin-starred restaurants, a celebrated spa, and now a completely redesigned collection of rooms and suites, the Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris continues to set the benchmark for hospitality. Blending the intimacy of a Parisian residence with the service of one of the world’s most iconic hotels, it offers guests not just a stay in the City of Light, but a way of living it.
