Virgin Atlantic has announced plans to install Wi-Fi with Starlink across its entire fleet—becoming the first UK airline to do so. The streaming-quality, low-latency internet will start rolling out on Virgin’s Boeing 787s, Airbus A350s, and A330neos from the third quarter of 2026, with full fleet installation expected by the end of 2027.
What sets this service apart? It’s not just fast—it’s free for all Flying Club members, with no data caps or slowdowns. Passengers will be able to stream Netflix, browse online shops, game with friends, and even attend video calls—all from cruising altitude, with no compromise on speed or quality.
A New Standard for In-Flight Connectivity
The upgrade is powered by SpaceX’s Starlink, the world’s most advanced low-Earth orbit satellite system. Unlike traditional satellite Wi-Fi, Starlink offers high-speed, global coverage—even over oceans and remote regions. The result? A “home away from home” browsing experience that starts the moment you board.
“We never stop innovating for our guests,” said Siobhan Fitzpatrick, Chief Experience Officer at Virgin Atlantic. “In a first for any UK airline, we’ll soon have free, streaming-quality, unlimited, fleet-wide Wi-Fi. Together with Starlink, we are delighted to provide our guests with the best connectivity in the skies.”
The new system supports multiple devices simultaneously, allowing passengers to switch seamlessly between phones, laptops, and tablets without interruption.
A Digitally-Connected Future Fleet
This announcement comes just weeks after Virgin Atlantic confirmed the final order of seven Airbus A330-900neos, part of a $17 billion fleet transformation. By 2028, the airline plans to operate 45 next-generation aircraft, including:
