Hamburg Airport is gearing up for an exciting 2025 summer season with an expanded flight schedule connecting travelers to around 40 countries. The new summer schedule, which runs from March 30 to October 25, brings new airlines, more destinations, and increased frequencies to popular holiday spots, making travel from Hamburg more convenient than ever.
New Airlines and Routes for Summer 2025
One of the biggest additions to Hamburg Airport’s network is Croatia Airlines, which will begin flying directly to Zagreb from July 1, 2025. This new route, operating three times a week, provides travelers from northern Germany with direct access to Croatia’s capital, a city that is gaining popularity for its rich culture and growing tourism scene.
Meanwhile, Wizz Air is expanding its services with a new route to Sibiu (Hermannstadt), Romania, starting August 1, offering flights three times a week. The airline will also resume service to Kutaisi, Georgia, from April 15, a destination recently featured on The New York Times’ top travel destinations for 2025. Additionally, Wizz Air continues to cater to growing demand for Albania, with seven weekly flights to Tirana.
More Flights to Popular Vacation Spots
For travelers seeking Mediterranean getaways, Hamburg Airport has significantly increased flights to Mallorca and Antalya, offering around 70 and 40 weekly flights, respectively. Greece and Albania are also receiving additional flights, providing more flexibility for summer vacations.
Turkish Airlines is increasing its service to Istanbul, offering up to five flights daily during peak season, while LOT Polish Airlines has expanded its service to Warsaw, now operating three flights per day (except Sundays).
Enhanced International Connectivity via Frankfurt
Since March 2, Condor has introduced a new twice-daily service from Hamburg to Frankfurt, enhancing connections to its long-haul network. From Frankfurt, passengers can now easily reach destinations in the USA, Canada, the Caribbean, and beyond.
Condor is also expanding its long-haul offerings from Frankfurt with new flights to Panama City (twice weekly) and year-round service to Bangkok and Johannesburg. These additions provide even more opportunities for seamless global travel from Hamburg.
Increased Flight Options Across Europe and the Middle East
Low-cost carriers are playing a major role in Hamburg’s summer expansion. easyJet is launching daily flights to Rome and Milan, making quick city breaks more accessible. Meanwhile, Eurowings continues its twice-weekly service to Tel Aviv, providing a convenient link between Germany and Israel.
Additionally, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is increasing capacity by over 20% by using larger aircraft on its routes, further boosting seat availability for passengers.
