On December 17, Discover Airlines inaugurated its first flight from Frankfurt Airport (FRA) to Kittilä Airport (KTT) in Finland. Passengers on flight 4Y1320 were warmly welcomed after a journey of approximately three and a half hours.

Discover Airlines now offers direct flights to Kittilä twice weekly throughout the year. The airline’s seamless connections in Frankfurt and Munich with all Lufthansa Group airlines and numerous partner airlines make travel to Kittilä more convenient than ever for passengers across Europe.

Kittilä is a few kilometers from the Arctic Circle and near Levi, Finnish Lapland’s premier winter sports destination. Levi boasts over 40 ski slopes and a range of winter activities, including reindeer and dog sled safaris and snowshoe hikes.

The addition of Kittilä to Discover Airlines’ route network responds to growing demand for Nordic destinations. Alongside Evenes, Ålesund, Bodø, and Reykjavík, Kittilä becomes the fifth Nordic destination in the airline’s portfolio. Due to high demand, Discover Airlines also plans to extend its Frankfurt-to-Evenes and Munich-to-Reykjavík routes to year-round service, with both destinations served twice weekly during winter.
