The best MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) brands from around the world were celebrated at the 5th annual World MICE Awards Gala Ceremony, held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The event recognized excellence across the MICE industry, highlighting the top destinations, venues, airlines, and organizations that have set new standards in the sector.
Dubai’s prominence in the MICE industry was underscored as the UAE emirate was crowned the ‘World’s Best MICE Destination’. The Dubai World Trade Centre also enjoyed a remarkable evening, securing three prestigious titles: ‘Middle East’s Best Convention Centre’, ‘World’s Best Professional Exhibitions Organiser’, and ‘United Arab Emirates’ Best Convention Centre’. Adding to Dubai’s accolades, the Museum of the Future was named both ‘World’s Best MICE Event Venue’ and ‘Middle East’s Best MICE Event Venue’.
This year’s destination winners reflected the global nature of the awards. Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, was recognized as ‘Asia’s Best MICE Destination’ and ‘Asia’s Best Incentive Destination’. Lima, Peru, was honored as ‘Latin America’s Best MICE Destination’, while Saint Lucia claimed the title of ‘Caribbean’s Best Corporate Retreat Destination’. Lisbon continued its reign as ‘Europe’s Best MICE Destination’, and Los Angeles was awarded ‘North America’s Best MICE Destination’.
In the aviation sector, Vietnam Airlines was named ‘Asia’s Best MICE Airline’, with Qatar Airways taking home the titles of ‘Middle East’s Best MICE Airline’ and ‘World’s Best MICE Airline’. Kenya Airways was recognized as ‘Africa’s Best MICE Airline’.
Graham Cooke, Founder of the World MICE Awards, praised the event, saying, “What a magnificent event! It has been truly memorable celebrating with our winners here in Ho Chi Minh City. World MICE Awards has had the privilege of recognizing brands that are stellar examples of excellence in their field. My congratulations to each of them.”
Other notable winners included Venice, Italy, which was named ‘World’s Best Incentive Destination’; IMEX Frankfurt, awarded ‘World’s Best MICE Tradeshow’; Vietravel, recognized as ‘World’s Best MICE Organiser’; InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, honored as ‘World’s Best MICE Hotel Brand’; and Waldorf Astoria Doha West Bay, which was named ‘World’s Best New MICE Hotel’.
The awards ceremony followed a year-long search for the world’s leading MICE brands, with votes cast by MICE industry professionals and the public. The nominee with the most votes in each category was declared the winner, reflecting the industry’s appreciation for the highest standards of service and innovation.
