The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has proudly unveiled its latest addition, Ilma, a stunning newbuild luxury superyacht that officially joins the brand’s distinguished fleet. The yacht embarked on its maiden voyage on September 2, with a 7-night journey from Monte Carlo to Rome, marking a significant milestone for The Ritz-Carlton as it continues to redefine luxury travel at sea.
Ilma represents the second superyacht in The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, further cementing the brand’s position as the first and only luxury hospitality company to operate at sea. “It is with immense pride and excitement that we welcome Ilma to our growing fleet,” said Jim Murren, Executive Chairman and CEO of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. “Since Evrima’s debut, we have been steadfast in our pursuit of excellence at sea. Measuring 790 feet in length, Ilma offers 224 elegantly designed suites, each featuring private terraces with direct access to the sea. The yacht’s itineraries include stops at exclusive and intimate ports, allowing guests to explore some of the world’s most coveted destinations. For its inaugural season in the Mediterranean, Ilma will visit the azure waters of Santorini, the luxurious yachting hub of Porto Cervo, and the historic city of Valletta. Following its Mediterranean voyages, Ilma will set sail for the Caribbean, offering guests experiences in the pristine landscapes of Virgin Gorda, the vibrant harbor of Gustavia, and the unspoiled beauty of St. John. In the summer of 2025, Ilma will also explore the North and Baltic Seas of Northern Europe, with immersive itineraries in culturally rich cities such as Amsterdam, Stockholm, and Reykjavík.

Ilma accommodates up to 448 guests and boasts one of the highest space-to-guest and guest-to-staff ratios in the industry. The yacht’s sophisticated interiors have been meticulously crafted by London-based architectural and design firm AD Associates and award-winning lighting designer DPA, while Helsinki-based design studio Aivan has designed the exteriors. The yacht’s design emphasizes a seamless connection between interior and exterior spaces, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in their surroundings.
Drawing inspiration from Maltese mythology and the natural beauty of the Maltese coastline, Ilma—named after the Maltese word for “water”—features a design narrative that blends fresh, neutral tones with contrasting finishes, enhancing the yacht’s visual appeal. The exteriors reflect the sleek elegance of private yachts, offering a luxurious yet intimate experience.
Onboard, guests can indulge in five distinct dining venues, including Seta su Ilma, a modern Italian fine-dining restaurant by MICHELIN-starred chef Fabio Trabocchi, and The Beach House, a beach club-inspired venue offering Pan-Latin cuisine developed in collaboration with James Beard Award-winning chef Michael Mina. Additional dining options include Memorī, which presents authentic Pan-Asian dishes; Mistral, serving Mediterranean fare by the main pool; and Tides, offering seasonal menus inspired by the diverse regional flavors encountered during the yacht’s voyages.
The yacht also features a signature wine vault, seven bars, and an expansive in-suite dining program, providing guests with a variety of culinary experiences. For those seeking relaxation and rejuvenation, Ilma offers The Ritz-Carlton Spa, featuring treatments from ESPA, 111SKIN, and Pisterzi. The spa includes 11 treatment rooms, five of which offer outdoor options, and three distinct fitness spaces: a Movement Studio, Cycle Studio, and Fitness Studio.
