Turkish Airlines Adds 11 New Destinations

Turkish Airlines is set to significantly expand its global network, with plans to introduce flights to 11 new destinations across nine countries. The announcement comes as the airline continues to see a steady increase in passenger traffic, which rose by 7.7% in the second quarter of 2024.

Soon, Turkish Airlines passengers will be able to fly directly from Istanbul to Santiago in Chile, Abha in Saudi Arabia, Aswan in Egypt, and Hargeisa in Somalia, as well as Port Sudan in Sudan. Additionally, the airline will add Sialkot in Pakistan to its route network.

In the European region, Turkish Airlines will launch flights to La Coruña in Spain, Nantes in France, and Katowice in Poland. On the Caucasus and Central Asian front, the carrier plans to initiate flights to Lankaran in Azerbaijan and Atyrau in Kazakhstan. The airline also has plans to begin service to Makhachkala in Russia’s Republic of Dagestan.

With these new additions, Turkish Airlines aims to offer passengers “even more opportunities for connections, supporting both tourism and business travel,” the company stated.

The expansion underscores Turkish Airlines’ commitment to broadening its global reach, providing more travel options for its passengers, and further solidifying its position as a leading international carrier.
