Spain Reigns Supreme in World’s Best Restaurants 2024

Spain’s reputation as a global culinary leader has been undeniably bolstered by the release of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2024 list. The European nation boasts an impressive five restaurants on the prestigious list, with a remarkable three of them claiming spots within the coveted top five.

Leading the Spanish charge is Asador Etxebarri in Atxondo, Spain. This restaurant, helmed by chef Victor Arguinzoniz, takes the number two position. Renowned for its exceptional barbecue that allows the quality of fresh ingredients to shine, Asador Etxebarri offers unforgettable dishes like simply grilled red Palamós prawns.

Spain’s culinary prowess extends beyond the Basque Country, with Diverxo in Madrid securing the fourth place on the list. This achievement further solidifies Spain’s dominance in the fine dining world.

However, the world stage isn’t solely Spain’s domain. The French capital maintains its position as a haven for exquisite cuisine, with Table by Bruno Verjus in Paris securing the third place.

Across the Atlantic, Lima, Peru solidifies its reputation as a top South American dining destination. Three restaurants from Lima grace the list, with Maido leading the pack at number five.

Mexico also emerges as a force to be reckoned with in North America. Three restaurants from the country made the list, with Mexico City eatery Quintonil taking the highest position at number seven.
