A fire broke out on Tuesday at the Palace of Versailles, located in the suburbs of Paris, leading to the evacuation of visitors. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, according to BFM TV.
“The Palace of Versailles was evacuated on Tuesday, with 97 firefighters dispatched to the scene. The fire originated in the attic where renovation work is being carried out. The fire was swiftly extinguished, but crews remained on-site to prevent any potential re-ignition,” the portal reported.
The incident did not cause any damage to the exhibited artifacts, as noted by the publication.
Currently, the palace and its gardens are open to visitors.
