Banyan Tree, a renowned global hospitality brand, is set to make its North American debut with a new luxury resort in the Bahamas. The Banyan Tree Bimini Resort & Residences will be located on a sprawling 750-acre property on the secluded Rockwell Island. This ambitious project is being developed by the Rockwell Island Development Group (RIDGE) in collaboration with the esteemed architecture firm Oppenheim Architecture.
Surrounded by nature and pristine beaches, the Banyan Tree Bimini Resort & Residences promises a luxurious retreat. The first phase of the development includes 54 waterfront residences, a 50-key five-star hotel, and the Bonito Beach Club, all offering bespoke services and amenities. The second phase will feature a deepwater superyacht marina, a private 18-hole golf course, and an exclusive members’ only clubhouse.
Located just 48 nautical miles east of Miami, the island is easily accessible by seaplane, private charter jet, helicopter, or boat, making it an ideal destination for luxury travelers. Sales and construction for the resort have already commenced, with the first five residences expected to be completed and delivered by early 2025.
This development marks a significant milestone for Banyan Tree as it expands its footprint into North America, offering its signature luxury and tranquility to a new audience in the Bahamas.
