Turkish Airlines has resumed its flights to Afghanistan, suspended in August 2021 following a change in the country’s political regime, according to TASS citing TRT Haber.
After nearly a three-year hiatus, a Turkish Airlines plane from Istanbul landed at Kabul International Airport. The aircraft was welcomed by representatives from the Turkish embassy and local authorities.
The national Turkish carrier will operate flights on the Istanbul-Kabul route four times a week, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
