British Airways has announced the resumption of its London Heathrow to Riyadh route at the GREAT FUTURES expo, a key event aimed at fostering business engagement between the United Kingdom and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The route is now available for booking and will commence operations on November 4, 2024, providing year-round service to the Saudi Arabian capital.
The new route will be serviced by British Airways’ modern Boeing 787 fleet, enhancing connectivity between the two nations. This four-times-a-week service will complement the existing daily service between Riyadh and Heathrow Terminal 5, significantly boosting travel options for passengers.
Speaking at the event held in Riyadh’s King Abdullah Financial District, Colm Lacy, British Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer, expressed enthusiasm for the route’s return. “We have a long history of connecting families, friends, and businesses in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with our home in London,” Lacy remarked. “There are significant opportunities for businesses in both countries, so we’re pleased we can re-build our connectivity and strengthen links between the two kingdoms.”
To mark the launch, British Airways is offering special promotional fares. Return flights in World Traveller (economy) are available starting from 1905 SAR, while Club World (business class) tickets start from 16079 SAR. These promotional fares are available for booking until June 5, 2024.
The return of this route signifies British Airways’ commitment to enhancing international travel and fostering economic ties between the UK and Saudi Arabia, providing more options for travelers and strengthening the business corridor between London and Riyadh.
