The Vietage by Anantara is introducing its second luxury railway carriage, which will commence daily return journeys between Nha Trang and Quy Nhon starting May 15, 2024. Expanding upon the success of its existing service between Da Nang and Quy Nhon, this new addition aims to provide travelers with timeless luxury experiences while traversing the beautiful landscapes of South-Central Vietnam.
The five-hour journeys offer a blend of glamour and nostalgia, coupled with modern luxury amenities. The custom-designed carriage features 12 reservation-only seats in private booths of two, adorned with sleek modern interiors inspired by Indochina. Guests can enjoy panoramic views through large windows and sip on rail-inspired cocktails and mocktails at the trendy sit-up bar.
For relaxation, a dedicated spa area offers 15-minute head and shoulder treatments on the go. An indulgent afternoon tea experience awaits guests, featuring delicacies such as poached Bai Dai Lobster, Da Lat Caviar, homemade finger sandwiches, pastries, cakes, scones, artisanal cheese, and charcuterie platters. A vegan menu is also available to cater to plant-based preferences.
Refreshments include a selection of teas from Epicurean Sao, locally sourced coffee from La Folliet, free-flowing wines, cocktails, beers, mocktails, and soft drinks. Additionally, guests can pre-order premium wines and champagnes, while caviar enthusiasts can purchase extra portions onboard.
During the journey, guests can catch glimpses of Vietnam’s picturesque countryside, including water buffalo, lotus ponds, rice paddies, and coastal vistas. The train also passes by historical landmarks such as Mui Dien, Vietnam’s oldest lighthouse, and Bình Thạnh Bridge, the country’s longest wooden bridge.
Travelers can combine their railway experience with stays at Anantara Quy Nhon Villas for a luxurious beachside retreat or explore Hoi An Ancient Town with a stay at Anantara Hoi An Resort.
A one-way ticket costs US$ 420 per person and includes luxury afternoon tea, a 15-minute spa treatment, free-flowing beverages, and a selection of teas and coffees. The Vietage by Anantara departs from Nha Trang every afternoon, arriving at Dieu Tri station in Quy Nhon in the evening before continuing to Da Nang. The return journey departs from Da Nang every morning, stopping at Quy Nhon before reaching Nha Trang in the evening.
Furthermore, The Vietage by Anantara supports the ‘Dollars for Deeds’ program, with US$ 1 per ticket donated to The Kianh Foundation, a charity providing special needs education in Central Vietnam. Guests are also welcome to make additional contributions.
